When designing the Model One, Unagi performed a large customer survey and discovered that the largest majority of customers do not exceed six miles of travel with their e-scooters. With this knowledge, they, in their usual fashion, decided to design their latest scooter with a capability of achieving double this range. When using a single motor, with a 68kg user, travelling at a constant speed without acceleration or deceleration; the Unagi will consistently achieve between 12-15 miles of real world range.
How can I improve the mileage that is being achieved?
If you aren't achieving this, please don't worry, there are always ways of drastically improving the mileage that you are able to achieve from your scooter.
If your journey also involves frequent 'stops and starts' it may be greatly beneficial to use either the first or second mode on your e-scooter. Small changes like this could definitely improve the sort of battery life you are able to achieve from your Unagi Model One.
When using the Unagi Model One for any longer journeys, the battery life can be increased by only using the rear motor. This will reduce the overall speed of the scooter, however, you should certainly be able to observe the difference in battery life from both settings.
