Yes! One of the excellent features of the range of Decent scooters is the cruise control functionality embedded in the firmware of the device from the factory. Although not enabled out of the box, this feature can be easily accessed by following the below instructions:
- Please turn the scooter on. With the scooter screen lit, please hold the menu and power buttons until the screen changes to show the letters 'PO'.
- Now press the menu button once, or however many times needed for the screen to change and show 'P1'. Now the power button can be pressed once and a number '1' or '0' should be visible on the LCD screen of your Decent electric scooter.
- Using the menu button, settings '0' and '1' can be cycled through. Setting '1' indicates for cruise control to be on, whilst, '0' indicates for this feature to be turned off.
- Once the preferred option has been selected, please hold the power and menu buttons together until '00' shows on the LCD screen. This process should now be complete with cruise control enabled.
For cruise control to be activated while you are riding, the throttle will need to be continuously engaged for at least seven seconds where a beep will sound. After this beep, the throttle can be let go. If the throttle is held past the initial beep, the scooter will continue beeping, this is completely normal. Cruise control will deactivate if the throttle or brake is once again engaged.
